She was only overrated because of the insane amount of hype thrown at her. The bullshit said about her was out of this world. Could anyone really see her win a boxing match against real boxers? Rogan and Goldberg regularly lauded her boxing on that level. Supposedly she could fight men her weight class and even 10lbs above, it was even worse than the Connor BS.

In truth she definitely had elite judo skills in a division of few really good strikers and decent grapplers who just weren't olympic judoka level. She won in a violent, decisive and charismatic way that really sold the general public on wmma, and even with her weak competition it's note worthy.

Once the division grew out of trying to clinch or throw lazy jabs to keep her away, she was done and over though.

the division was not that weak when Ronda was a champion. she beat Miesha who later, beat the one who KO her first (holm)
The hype around conor is similar than the hype around ronda. both are average fighter in reality but Dana likes the wwe zest around the ones he likes and generates money for his company, period
