Any free site will have ads/risk, it’s how they make $.

You can chose to use those sites or pay for a streaming service.

How do people still not know how to use the internet in 2018?

Step 1 Google what you want to watch
Step 2 Don't be an idiot and click on adds or phish links
Step 3 Profit????

your doing it wrong and its wasteful in terms of bandwidth and in time not to mention what if the hosts go down?

I download about 1tb of anime a month so im like a expert in this subject

streaming is a waste of time
#1 torrent in 1080p dub or dual audio mkv
#2 xdcc downloads in irc this is the hard to find stuff
#3 direct downloads (google drive / megaupload)

that pretty much covers it

then you can multi display and watch it any time and not worry about hosts being down / region blocked or slow internet. You can also put it on your tablets sd card and watch it on long drives.

it's wasteful either way, be it streaming or downloading.

since people tend not to rewatch series often so it either just ends up taking pointless space or you end up deleting it to make room for more anime that'll just result in the same outcome, it's about just as wasteful as streaming.
It's even worse if said Hardrive decides to fail and break or shit starts getting corrupt.

it's just preference.
i buy series i really like and know i'll rewatch.
stream the rest because i doubt i'll go back and watch every one of the hundreds of series i've gone through all these years.
like you could have 500tb's of anime but whats the point if you're never gonna watch it.
