Hey guys,
the lease of my ford escape is almost over and i'm looking for a SUV or TRUCK
i'm 6''5 so i need something kinda big and comfortable since i like doing long roadtrip !
i really loved my ford escape but i was kinda " stuck " when i was driving

I've been thinking about f150/ram/sierra
i know ford ranger are coming out soon really considering it because i dont really need
a huge truck since its only for long roadtrip i'm not planning to have a fifth wheel or anything like that
also i love the look of the: Jeep Grand Cherokee/ Ford Explorer/ VW atla/touareg

So if you guys have any suggestion i'll take them

My Grand Cherokee drives like a dream and received the #3 spot for best SUVs, get the idea of the old dodge/Jeep out of your brain, FCA is turning out good shit.

I liked the Atlas, but I was super underwhelmed with the interior of it. My vote goes for either the GC or the new Ram.

Again, I’m not speaking for all Jeeps but the current model of GC “2014-present” are fantastic suvs. Comfy, very capable, attractive, safe, big.. Not much to harp about.. My only gripe is that the paint job blows, but I can get over that.

If long trips are on your mind and comfort at forefront.

Either get a big ass SUV (Tahoe, expedition, Suburban etc) or if you don't mind forking out the coin get a ram 1500 with the air ride.

I just got hit in the back bumper Saturday. Dropped off my limited 1500 and got a '17 silverado as a rental. There is no comparison at all... I used to think they rode good but this damn thing feels like a lumber wagon compared to my truck.

I know I know... I'm the mopar guy but go test drive one.

Also- if you're 6'5" you'll hate life in a ranger or any other small 1/4ton truck.

The new Ram is huge inside, and it’s priced relatively cheap for the pickup world. But damn they drive like... a truck

I second your post though Jimmy,

I can be honest about it. In order of ride quality and sound level inside the cab:

Ride:
Ram with air ride
Chevy/GMC
Ram on coils (These are nearly as shitty as the fords)
Ford (these ride like an 89 1 ton with no box)

Sound level:
Ford/ram (Both pretty quiet riding down the road)
Chevy/GMC (This loaner truck I got today sounds like a fucking convertible... There's no sound deadening.. at all)

At the same time, Ram probably has the worst new truck on the market when talking about powertrain right now. Unless they have changed, their track record with new motors is fuck all horrid. It's why I got a last year '18 and not a '19 with that Paxton e-charger
