so im considering starting streaming, I imagine id need a new video card and probably a new monitor.

right now i have

Id like to upgrade one monitor to a 144hz probably.

I'm unsure if a 1060 would suffice, or if id have to goto a 1070?

Please feel free to give me any advice or opinions.

Cheers.

Only thing you might want to upgrade would be the CPU to an i7 if you want to maintain over 144 hz while streaming. See if you can find a clearance deal on a 7700k or a used one for a decent price.

You might need additional RAM, depending on the game youre trying to stream, as well. 16gb is usually good, but some games by themselves eat up most of that.

what would I get for fps in games like poe, which would probably be the most intensive game I'd play?

I'm asking cause I can do a computer loan through work, my wife wants a laptop so I figure anything I may need I could get while I purchase the laptop.

You'd be fine with an i5 for PoE, you'd only need the i7 if it were for more intensive games or higher resolution TBH.

Depending on your PSU you dont have any upgrade anything aside from the GPU.

Especially if you just stream in 720p
