So I recently tried to purchase Mario Party 2 for the wii to find out that Nintendo is closing the Wii shop (you can no longer buy wii points but can purchase games with wii points that you still have). However, I have a Wii U and found that you can just buy Mario Party 2 on the Nintendo E-shop on there for $10, so I bought the game. Sadly, I found out at my friends' house that you can not use gamecube controllers on the WiiU (with the adapter) as the adapter literally only works for "Super Smash Bros for the Wii U". Trying to figure something out, I tried to see if the Wii could access the Nintendo E-Shop and download the game, but the Wii strangely does not have access to the Nintendo E-Shop.

Anyone run into a similar problem before?

if im not mistaken the wii store n the wii u store are different store what u buy on wiiu is linked with the wii u and same for the wii

I'm gonna try call nintendo up and ask them either to switch it to the wii or refund me. I'll see what happens

what you can do tho is hack your wii.

also doubt nintendo will refund your 10$ for mario party but can always try.

So i called and they refunded me with $10 worth of nintendo eshop points, which are useable for wii U and switch since they both use the eshop.

Can you PM me how to get mario party 2 on the wii via the completely legitimate and d2jsp rules abiding method u mentioned above?
