always whisp multiple people at once and ignore everyone who invites late. too many fgts who dont respond. its even worse with poe.trade broken/delayed
fuck everyone else mentality is how u get what u want
Tl;dr I do this now. /ignore ramble about trading experience etc.
Yea, I didnt do this, when I was still pretty new (to trading) and I would say I stayed new to trading for a longer time than most people (because I didnt trade that much at all).
I only did this because it would happen to me when I tried to sell something, which wasnt often because I rarely traded, but thats what scaled the problem, because many of my replies would end up this way since I had so few trades.
It's not that I would reply slow either. It's just how it works out when someone whispers 10 people in 10 seconds.
Also, many times I would reply then go to my hideout quickly, because I load slow then find out after loading that they dont want it or they simple dont reply.
So for a new player it's a bad experience, at least until you accept it and do the same.
But no other game is like this so people try to trade "ethically" like they do in other games.
Then theres the whole how you play the game thing, relaxed and casually or efficient and like a job.
And someone who plays completely casually will struggle to understand the way a person who plays efficiently plays.
So that will cause complaints about the trading in PoE and all the shitty encounters but it's just because people arent looking at the whole picture (aside from other reasons that make trading annoying, like price fixers etc.)
But, I do this now. I didnt mind waiting before because I'd just do my thing and if they reply in a minutes time we trade, if not I whispered the next person.
I was never in a hurry to get an item (I am a pretty casual player, played 1 league a year and didnt start at the first day of a league until recently actually lol)
The thing is the more you play PoE, the more efficient you become, and the less time you're willing to wait; and, honestly, the more irritable everything everyone does becomes haha (not just PoE actually, this is a trend for gamers in general).
This is probably why most gamers dont play PoE in a group. They have gamer/nerd syndrome.
There's a funny youtube video I watched that exaggerated this, by reckless tortuga (I think that's the name).
(I wonder if anyone read this)
