Supposedly, even for controllers or games that it can't support, you can download a controller image or game profile. They work like a plugin... sort of.

With Xpadder?

/e There is really only two things that can make a joystick move by itself. The software or the hardware. Maybe the joysticks are just... shot.
I've had an old regular joystick die that way before. Think a big flight stick. The return springs in the joystick just got old. Then any micro vibration would cause movement.

New or used. And I guess it could still be... bad. It could also be the electrical version of worn out return springs.
Can you test with a different controller?

If it only happens on one type of controller...then it's either a software or hardware issue with that controller.

If you got it at like... Best buy or similar...maybe it was a shelf (demo) model they were trying to unload. Maybe take it back to where you bought it and have them hook it up to a PC.

Someone answered that resetting the controller helped?

Quote
You can reset your controller. Use a paperclip. Theres a small hole in the back of the controller. This essentially re-zeroes the controller. Resets/recalibrates everything on it. (Top right next to the screw.)

Just found this so who knows.
