This whole thread has been awesome. Totally loving the idea behind cross play, and MS+Nintendo are doing great things to change how we gamers can play together. First it was Fortnight earlier this week and now Minecraft. Future is looking good!

Sony is missing an opportunity here, and if they don't change their mindset they are going to get left behind. For the players?

why should they? they lead the console market and got the better exclusives... minecraft is old so no marketing value here and fortnite is f2p again no marketing value

They havnt always lead. They do now, but how long will that last? Xbox is killin it lately, they won E3 according to numerous sites that historically favored Sony, and Nintendo is on a roll.

bethesda won e3 not microsoft they were tied to microsoft but take out bethesda and microsoft got nothing like sony and nintendo this year

I mean, you are entitled to your opinion, but fortnites numbers say otherwise, a lot of people are enjoying it and spending money on it. Sorry if you disagree but it is what it is.

i dont disagree with the numbers its a casual game made for the casual to make money on them but it doesnt makes it a good game compared to good games on the market

Your missing the point of the fortnite issue. People have spent hundreds of dollars on cosmetics and people are extremely pissed that Sony locked their account and they can't even remove it if they wanted to.

You can't keep your stats or account and people want to play fortnite on the go with the switch but can't without making a new account.

Fortnite is making more money then any other game out there. They made over 300 million in April alone. Cross play wouldn't affect exclusives and not every game would need it but Sony basically screwed over anyone who played on PS4 for a single game locking the account and not allowing them to remove it or anything. You may not like the game or just don't understand why people want to keep stats and cosmetics but just because the game is free to play doesn't make it a non issue. I mean fortnite accounts are selling for thousands of dollars because people want specific skins. I don't think you understand the amount of money they make every month from cosmetics. They are only going to be making more once the pve version becomes free to play because there is plenty of stuff you can buy over there too which people will most definitely do.

I guarantee you have never played save the world the pve version of fortnite which is actually really good. You probably just assumed it was br only but they made it to be pve and added a battle royale game mode which took off because it was free and available on console before any other br game was really available on console

i know it was a pve game be4 the br mode was added i tried both i prefered the pve mode but this game is just easy n boring for me

The game industry makes me sick

1000's of simple improvements can be made but they like to sandbag like crazy, I refuse to believe developers can be so bad for so long
