There are dozens of people on east who will let you use them for a fake history, most of them well-known traders

It should be assumed that most of the prepatch items you buy have fake histories even when they're perm

This makes the case of it actually poofing stronger.

No, the items they're trading are usually perm, they just have fake histories either because they're stolen or because the history is shitty

You're suggesting an unperm bmana hung around on multiple chars for years without clashing when there are fewer than 100 unperm IDs for bmanas to begin with.

One of you stole it or one of you lost it somehow and don't want to admit to it. Those are your options.

The fact of the matter is you’re dealing w/ a hacked item and when you do that, you run the risk and of having an unperm.
