can someone explain helm defense to me? p 165 corona times 3 (200 ed) times 1.5 (eth)=742.5? why is this higher?

Defense: [[(165+1)*(100+50)/100]*(100+199)/100] = 744; explained here. Note that the game uses integer division (as indicated by [ ]).

Ethereal (Cannot be Repaired) is not an affix but an item flag enhancing base defense by +50% (see calculation above) and reducing the following:
Durability: [50/2]+1 = 26
Required Strength: 174 - 10 = 164
Required Dexterity: 0 - 10 < 1 (redundant and not displayed).

Required Level: 66 is that of a Corona: http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/elite/helms.shtml since neither affix on it carries a higher levelreq.
