i downloaded the free trial
but it's laggy as fuck
any idea how to fix?

Maybe its your computer, maybe your graphic card is too weak?

Check your resource monitor to see your CPU/memory/disk if there's anything that is causing to slow down.

defrag your non ssd discs
go to edit -> performance -> let photoshop use more ram
