Im curios as i searched the web and could not find anything about it.
Thnx for ur time
i network with a ton of players and this is what we know:
a realm down is different from a ban (noobs say "temp ban" eye rolls)
if your getting character not found errors thats a different issue / or 6112 error with vpns. using a vpn can ban your account now that will lead to ip ban
it used to be when you got an account ban the account would be banned / along with cdkey
now is quite different
bliz has all these bullshit hidden rules i just hate that
so when connecting to bnet it will just be in a endless loop of "validating version" if your ip banned - this is now the worst thing that can ever happen. There is no ban reversal your done the ip is blacklisted.
just like if you get banned from a website they can block ip bliz is now doing the same thing. Lets say you have 100 accounts and bliz bans 10 of them, so you have 90 that are not banned. Now you cant access any of them because bliz is now blocking offending ip address of people who got banned.
the other update was lets say you play on 2 realms west / east
so you make too many games xfering on west ok ill go check on east - except you cant because now the cdkey restriction now blacklists the key until the timeout wait has expired keeping you from connecting to any realm.
this is just what we know for now, and it could be wrong so take it with a grain of salt, but again the accuracy of this info is very high.
