Silicon Valley is already in the blue part. Silicon Valley isn't in San Jose...it's in Palo Alto.

Silicon Valley incorporates areas on the southeast and southwest Bay Area, including San Jose. A significant chunk of Silicon Valley is in the blue area, though (Cupertino, Mountain View, Palo Alto), but it's not exclusive to that part.

Trust me bro. I worked there for years. I know where silicon valley is. :)

/e I did leave Cali for good in 1996, so Silicon Valley may have spread out a bit. But I still can't see it spreading to San Jose.

Adobe is headquartered IN San Jose. I'd say they qualify as a Silicon Valley company.

Adobe is a software company. Silicon Valley proper...is hardware.

/e I guess they have gotten a bit bigger in the past 20 years. :)
But still, most of the companies that MADE Silicon Valley are still in the blue area.

Stock up on bottle caps. The NCR is rising.

Dammit I came in here to say that. At least there's a flag ready for them

Except for the Sacramento area...the BLUE part is the part that will fall in the ocean, when the "big one" hits.

So it will be a state with barely any people living here, the economy of Alabama, and no reason to really care about it politically anymore. Seems like the opposite of the narrative you are trying to spin. It's not going to simply become a red state with a massive number of electoral votes. It would become a desolate wasteland that nobody needs to campaign in because it barely has any electoral votes.

All of California's agriculture is in the NON-BLUE area.
All of California's main politicians will be in the BLUE area.

Should be interesting if it happens. I doubt it will.
