cos doesn't work better with a fools claw cuz attack rating has diminishing returns.

with a fools you are leaving damage on the table which is one of the only things in this game with virtually no diminishing returns.

same with fcr. u can catch 200fcr sorts with dragon flight easily.

don't even need fcr to chase em cuz of dragon flight lol so fcr is useless unless u wanna spam mind blast and tele around like a helpless junkie.

and even when u choose to spam mind blast, damage reduced mod stunts its damage easily.

And sometimes it will use the chaos ar for the fool claw anyway...

a fools claw itself has diminishing returns. As long as you're forced to use chaos in one of your hands to cast whirlwind at all, a fools will always have the problem where whirlwind hitchecks get stuck on your fools-side AR and keep repeating that until it rolls a hit, so the benefit of getting AR that only applies to one claw is bad compared to global modifiers like angelics, enchant, cloak of shadows, etc. If you had a 5% chance to hit with chaos and 95% chance with fools, then you have a 9.5% chance to hit overall.

But putting that to more realistic scenarios, say you have 10k ar chaos, 11k cruel, 20k ar fools, against a 15k defense opponent, giving you 40% / 42.3% / 57.1% chance to hit respectively
Then chaos + cruel has an average 41.1% chance to hit, and chaos + fools has an average 46.8% chance to hit
Is landing 13.8% more marginal attacks going to be worth the difference in damage on a cruel?

Goomshill is on the money. And incase that didn't convince you take a gander at gel87's trash build to put the icing on the cake. All you'll see is damage left on the table with a crappy fools, prebuffs (rofl), a bunch of unnecessary fcr to do evasive things like tele and mind blast, and a plethora of venom damage up against plr% and resist.
