Over a year ago I took a friends advice at the gym when I was first starting, he told me to go heavy. I listened to him and I really messed up my shoulder, pulled it really bad. It forced me tonot go to the gym (other than leg day) for around 3 months, a month after i got back I hurt it again doing nothing out of the ordinary (comfortable weight, no odd movements). It hurt in the same spot. This went on and off for 8~ months

It would always have some kind of pain. Anyways I ended up joining crossfit (no comments, please...lol) and explained that to one of the guys who coach there. He recommend I go to a chiropractor.

After seeing the chiropractor and doing some stretches and rolling a lacrosse ball around on a spot behind my shoulder it seems to have fixed the pulling a muscle part now for almost a year (no pain at all)

Here's the problem now, one shoulder is like 1-2 inches higher than the other and feels out of place, like I have to force it back or adjust it doing pull ups. He's telling me to buy this back buddy (which I did, and waiting on delivery) and pushing on another spot in my shoulder will fix this.

My strength has dropped significantly in anything related to bench press, pull ups and anything over the head.

Wondering if anybody has had similar issues and what they did, and if what this guy is telling me will actually help me.

I just want this issue fixed

Tbh.. having a diagnosis about what you have would be definitely better to help out. I'd recommend seeing a physical therapist as they kinda are the best in the musculoskeletal field to treat those kind of injuries and also to spot the real problem

Try lifting heavier

Prob didn't go heavy enough the first time tbh

To be serious, chiropractor is a fake physical therapist. Get a proper diagnosis from a doc

Go see a doctor asap imo. I pulled my shoulder on a hike. Almost a year later had to have surgery because I had torn my labrum and lifted through it. I now have a bum shoulder because surgery only took away pain and gave back mobility. Been over a year and my strength is still lacking. Just go see an ortho and have them xray or MRI your shoulder.

This.

A pt is able to do everything that a chiropractor can do plus way more.

There's a reason why people have the same chiro for 20 years LOL

Hrmm lump on the shoulder aye.

If I'd have to take a guess, I'd say you have a partial AC separation .
