Oh that was software? I thought it was info on what bluescreens are. I'll have to look into it. I normally don't open any links because I am stuck in the 90's and scared of everything on the interwebs.. rofl

My coworker is coming over tonight to look at my surround sound system that isn't working, maybe I can ask him about it while he's over.

It appears the bug check is MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and the driver is ntoskrnl.exe

Can anyone help with this?

You can run memtest ofc, but RAM (usually) doesn't go bad). This assumes quality RAM of course.

You can try to open a command prompt (as admin) and run the command: sfc /scannow <--- this will fix most OS errors.

Or you could just re-install Windows and start with a clean slate, so as to make it easier to solve your problem, if it ISN'T a software problem.

I would like to avoid reinstalling windows as much as possible..

I'll try that command, what does it actually do?

My computer doesn't run updates very often, could that be a problem? I hear people always complain windows 10 shuts itself off but mine never does for an update.

In my experience it really only updates like once a month, some people just don't have their settings to manual so it will do it whenever it wants.

Also, re-installing an OS really isn't that hard, especially if you are on windows 10, you even have the option to keep all your files as you reinstall.

Ok did you do what ghot said? Did that fix the use?
Did you install all motherboard drivers?
Are you overclocked?
Is Windows updated?
Which antivirus are you using? Have you used others and uninstalled and switched to another?
Did you have another gpu in before?
