they have many injured players also. Mandzukic, Chiellini, Marchisio and some others. Also, italian teams are not in form in september, see for reference national team. Or roma yesterday, they were COMPLETE out of stamina after 60min. They eat to much pasta in summer or something like that lol
Allison, the keeper of roma, with 9 super saves vs atleico. They should have won at least 4-0 but it ended 0-0 because of allsion. Monster performance
tbh the same applies to spanish teams. Late preseason, and they start the league later than the rest of Europe (the heat is just unbearable during the day in most places during august)... both italian and spanish teams have played the same amount of games so far.
The main difference imo is that Barça was really thirsty for revenge from last season's quarterfinals, and they are currently in a hungry momentum, angry at how they got raped in the Supercopa and Neymar ditched them; they are currently trying to prove themselves in every game. Meanwhile Juve has won 6 consecutive scudetti and suffered a disappointing defeat in the CL final that stopped them from winning the treble... they need some time to readjust and find their competitive spirit again; it's a natural process.
And with Roma and Atlético, there's simply still a big difference between both teams. And add to that that Roma is in a new transformation process that has just begun under Monchi's management... they have a long term project.
