Are they playable on the switch? I'm wondering if I need to buy the wii u to play its games first or just go directly to switch if it can take wii u digital games.
I'm only at the wii that's why I'm asking and I don't want to skip the wii u games XD

Sadly, no. Wii -> wiiu was possible, as well as ds->3ds. It seems they have decided to drop backwards compatibility altogether this gen...
