Hey guys (Im sure, mostly rikuo :P)

I have a guy who is looking for a headset. he was eyeing the Hyperx Cloud II.

I'm not really into headsets so I'm coming back for a recommend.
Clearly he wants to spend around 100 bucks. hes only like 16 doing work for his aunt, so please be very budget conscious with recommends as he runs out of his already limited income after the summer.

Let me know what you guys think are superior to the Hyperx cloud 2's for the same price
or
let me know what headphones are equivalent for a lower price.

Thanks guys,
sorry i always lose these threads and need to ask for new recommends :p

If he wants closed clouds are fine
If he has a mobo from last 5 yrs get cloud 1

Other options are for closed are cals w mic mod /etc around 100
Fisher clones and mic mod/etc

Personally clouds aren't bad for closed headset

Now if he wants open cans different story

Well, hes just a 16 year old kid with little idea of what he wants. he's going to be playing multiplayer games, primarily cs:go and he just wants a headset to do his thing.

If clouds aren't bad then that's good as well!

I'm personally not savvy on open vs closed.
He'll be gaming primarily, is closed more preferable for gaming?

Open has better positional/soundstage sound but leaks and allows sound in

Closed can do fine for most on positional/soundstage and isolates sound in and out

Well let's suppose he wants to explore open options.

Specifically, for CS:GO performance, what would you recommend then?
