why dont you just get the 1200 and oc it to 1300 speeds? Do you think it will produce more heat than the 1300?

usually oc shit runs hotter no? plus ive never overclocked anything before so id prefer to generally just avoid it unless its absolutely needed

You should be able to hit the same OC with the same volt. So no higher TDP to heat up your room.
but sure you can buy the 1300 for ease, but if you are on a budget I wouldn't do it. You are going for a B350 chipset mobo i presume?

im not sure on the b50 is there a big price difference? iirc you need the b350 to overclock so if its about the same with a non b350 and 1300 i might just go with that and not overclock
i havnt actually looked at any MB yet im trying to figure out what processor im getting first :P

also its not a matter of the pc heating up my room the problem is my room being hot to the point fans would be blowing around warm air and not cooling to full efficiency
im running my air conditioner on max and my room is like 70-75F in the spring it goes up to like 90-100 range before i put the AC in

It's voltage that basically increases temp

Get the overclockable board

yeah ill likely get a b350 now looking at the prices they are like $20 difference for the cheapest b350 vs cheapest a320s

this board would work correct?
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813144019

i might not get it though the reviews are kinda meh but i imagine for similar price range most boards be the same shit
you guys got any good fairly cheap board recommendations that id be able to get from newegg.ca?

Pay a bit extra to get like 4 DIMM slots etc. Or you might be able to get a gigabyte mobo for the same price with extra features.

personally I orded this one last night myself:

what does micro atx mean? its just small right? that would be good id like to reuse this tower case if possible its not small but not as big as some mid tower cases i was looking at online
and tbh my budget right now i have $150CA on my paypal and might cash out my knife on cs go and buy a processor and eventually buy a mb and some ram then hopeful recycle rest of parts from my current pc ^^
i might be able to grab a cpu+motherboard or cpu+ram within the week though

dimm slots are ram slots right? i think 2 would be fine id just have to make sure i get 8gig chips vs 4gigs
i mean any games thats using more then 16gig of ram my video card wouldnt be able to handle so i dont need 32 or anything more then 16

ok so this is what ive come up with i think it should all be good to go but if you guys could verify that would be awesome
cpu- ryzen 3 1300x https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAA4Y63C2048&_ga=2.80669586.406838593.1502392564-869976637.1500140467
motherboard- https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813144019&_ga=2.80669586.406838593.1502392564-869976637.1500140467
ram- https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313742

potential case- https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811208059&_ga=2.184558764.406838593.1502392564-869976637.1500140467
people seem to love that case for the price and it even fits a 980 windforce shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh13Op-S5cM so no issues with 1050 ti fitting
id likely be able to reuse my current case but if i get a new case and just keep this tower in one piece as a 2nd pc that would be nice and i never had an led glowing case before :(
