In the context of aRPGs, yes but not in general. And you cannot just use WoW as a comparison that's a red herring because it's not an aRPG whatsoever

I don't think you understand the euphoria you get from finding an item and having the thought in your mind "omg i can sell this for xxx, then use those funds to buy other stuff xxx to improve my character". D3 doesn't offer that so it's dead. Combat and gameplay is 100x better though. It's just their devs don't get it
