Intro
This is a PvM Whirlwind - Frenzy Barbarian that has a Throwbarian version if you wish to choose that route.
I am basing this off my Throwbarian but if you'd rather stick to just Whirlwind-Frenzy continue reading because there will be optional gear suggested.

For the noobs, forgive me I forget not everyone has been playing this game for nearly 2 decades.
PvM : player versus monster
Ds : deadly strike
Ww : whirlwind
Dmg : damage
Str : strength
Fhr : faster hit recovery
PB : phase blade
IAS : increased attack speed
Frw : faster run/walk
Dr : damage reduced
Hc : hardcore
Mb : max block
Fr : fire resist
Vita : vitality
BP : break point
Ow : chance of open wounds
Barb : barbarian
Lr : lightning resist
CBF : can not be frozen
Char : character
Ar : attack rating
Dex : dexterity
ML : mana leech
LL : life leech
CS : crystal sword
Mona : monarch
Fcr : faster cast rate
Sc : small charm
@ : all resistances
Mf : magic find
BC : Battle Command
Nm : nightmare
ED : enhanced damage
Merc : mercenary


Gear
Throw gear will have a T before the item is mentioned.

- Helmet : Arreat's is the best choice for it's Zeus like properties, you can get G'face and build around that for the breakpoints which will probably kill slightly faster at the cost of being much more squishy.
Get the damn Arreat's.

- Armor : Fortitude is the best choice, the Frenzy running is much better than teleporting around with Enigma except walls and tight spots but you can have it on switch to use with HoTo if you opt for that setup.

- Weapon ( Right hand ) : e Death Zerker, Grief Zerk (35+ias), or T e Lacerator (Which side the weapons are on actually matters.)

- Weapon ( Left hand ) : e Breath of the Dying Berserkser Axe, Grief Zerk (35+ias), or e Warshrike (I think it might be 34 IAS for the Grief Zerkers, check with a more reliable source LOL)

- Gloves : Laying of Hands = PvM physical damage character's damn near ultimate choice, you could get Drac's, Rends, or some nice Crafted Gloves if you'd like too but eh--LoH is too good

- Belt : Dungo's for WW/Frenzy only, T Razortail for Throwbarian option

- Boots : Gore Rider = those noobs that say War trav's are better cause the damage on character screen goes up. LOL

- Amulet : Angelic Amulet or Highlord's (I like AR more but Highlord's is awesome too)

- Ring : Raven Frost = Must

- Ring : Angelic Ring or Carrion Ring which add's some very nice bonuses.

Switch
- Dual HoTo (WW/Frenzy only setup)

- T e Lacerator & Warshrike (or throwing weapons of choice with decent IAS figures)

Inventory
- Barbarian Hellfire Torch
- Annihilus
- 20% FHR from somewhere (if you went with preferred Arreat's or G Face you still hit 50% FHR after)
These are basically all you need and can do whatever the Hell you really want after
- Gheed's, Resist, MF, Life, AR, MD, Poison
- I went the poison route, I find it not as powerful as MD but it's interesting if you go PvP once in awhile

Stats
- Vitality : Rest
- Strength : Gear
- Dexterity : Gear
- Energy : Forget what I said and put Everything in here...

Skills

This is where it get's somewhat complicated so I'll just make 2
Frenzy - WW Only
20 - Frenzy
20 - Axe Mastery
20 - Battle Orders
10 - Whirlwind
10 - Double Swing
5 - Berserk
1 or more into 1 point wonders such as Natural Resist or Increased Speed which I suggest
Rest into whatever you want
Frenzy - WW - Throw Only
20 - Double Swing
20 - Axe Mastery
for these Masteries you can switch them, I personally went 20 into Throw and 1 into Axe
1 - Throwing Mastery
13 or more - Frenzy
5 - Berserk
5 or more - Whirlwind
5 or more - Battle Orders (I need to Respec, I went 13+ into Double Thorw--donate a token)
1 or more - Double Throw (just adds AR which I like)
1 - Throwing Mastery
1 or more into 1 point wonders such as Natural Resist or Increased Speed which I suggest

Companions you pay for companionship.

Act 2 NM Defensive (Holy Freeze)
People say get a Might merc but then again those are the noobs that look at numbers on the character screen which has been broken for over 10 years?
- Helmet :Guillaume's Face : " 15 IAS / 40% ED Jewel " or Andy's / Gaze / Crown of Thieves
- Weapon : Eth Reaper's Toll: " 15 IAS / 40% ED Jewel " or Pride / Infinity/ Whatever
- Armor: Eth Treachery or Fort
T
Act 1 Norm - Hell Cold Arrow (Cold Arrow?)
- Helmet : Giant Skull with 30IAS inside it and any other mod's you like (I think the numbers might be wrong for breakpoints but meh)
- Weapon : Faith Blade or Great bow
- Armor : Fortitude or Treachery? (dunno the merc IAS figures but I like Fort)

Its pretty good build.
I would rather use my sinple babba whirler:
Use whirl wind,
Use bo before whir wwin
Wear enigmua for mass str for tele

But simple baba boring.

Dungos are bad. Soe is much much better. (Same dr% but with mdr and ll)

Grief pb is ofc much better than botd. By far.

I also prefer 20 bo 20 ww 20 mastery 20 frenzy then. And ofc 1 pt berserk (nn more imho)

Rest into frenzy synergies
And when u want throw 1 pt doublethrow and 1 pt throw mastery.

All with all decent build. I dont like the layout however (a bit chaotic imo, esp when seeing it on phone ^^)

Ofc guillies is better than arreats. The cb is fkn amazing! (Id take that over arreats anyday)

E; ofc hlords as amu and dual leech ring as second ring. Grief pbs as wep (or grief pb+edeath cs/cb)

and my personal choise for swap:

wizzy+wizzy+10fcr ring with ar and stats

Yeah, I do so see many faults now I suppose.

I went with Axes cause Lacerater is an Axe (Grief PB is better choice for sure.

Angelic cause AR, your setups otherwise.

I like the FHR from dungo along with vita/replenish

G face........yeaaaah I like it too but Arreats helps overall stats--not just offensive

Rephl is kinda useless, esp when u are attacking.
Fhr is nice, but worse than mdr and ll.

Arreat is fine ye. Gface is better offensive, but that u already mentioned.

Nn ar from angelics. 5-6k is enough for pvm.

Very true, also why I put HL + Carrion.

Was trying to pub stomp with my 17k AR but learned that most chars stomp me. Lol
