Have you spoken to your doc about a prn anxiety med? Most physicians are quick to slam an antidepressant down your throat. But I don't know your situation

This.

I was prescribed this by my primary care physician while waiting to get a psychiatrist appointment so that's something I can bring up with him when we finally meet.

There are a bunch of therapeutic (drug) options so chances are almost 100% that you can find something without the gnarly side effects. Ideally (and most likely), you can resolve your problems drug-free.

Switched up my meal times and medication time and now things are back to normal mostly. Just getting back to the grind right now. Squat and shoulders seem to be the hardest to get back to. Chest and back and mostly where they were before the break.

Good to hear that you have a better balance now :)

Sometimes a bit of rest is a good thing anyway. I took a break from bench recently and I'm regretting it now :D

Been having some hip pain for the past couple days, thought it was just some soreness from working out. Today, went to do squats and felt some joint pain that really felt like I should not push through it. Hopefully it will heal up soon, and in the mean time I'll try to do some hip flexor exercises and do leg extensions instead.

Don't do leg extensions in lieu of squats, just lower your weight and fix your form.. Always properly stretch and roll out before lifting too. Look up Squat University on YouTube and watch their mobility WODs.

I was feeling the pain when using just the bar, and I don't think there's anything wrong with my squat form. But thanks, I'll check them out. I'm worried I did something to my hip while deadlifting during my last workout.

Back to having hip pain on squats in my left hip joint. Looking into what kind of form helps reduce this.

I used to get real bad hip pain,

My solution: squat narrower, I’m at shoulder width
