for them to actually get someone good (ie brook lopez) via that fucking terrible contract mozgov has and only trade one part of their core (theyre drafting ball), its a fucking rape

WITH A PICK

NIGGA

i guess but if you trade #2 you're left without a PG and in order to get PG you're most likely giving up that #2 pick

Brooks is basically acting as an expiring and matching contracts. He won't be here after next season.

And?

Worst case he plays a year and does exactly what you said or is used as trade bait this year as an expiring contract. Either way we traded an underachiever who can't play a lick of defense and caused multiple team issues with a subpar center on a terrible contract for a serviceable big man for a year, cap flexibility, and your favorite a first round pick.

I'd imagine the Lakers simply knew Russell had no future with them and they fielded the league to gauge his value and pulled the trigger when they got such a good offer.

Edit: if we move the number two we are silly. The whole point was to keep some of our youth in picking Ball, Ingram, Zubac.

You ain't getting ball if you trade for PG. It's as simple as that its one or the other.

The pacers don't want those late picks

time is running out for those niggas, its either trade him now and get something for him

or trade him midseason and get absolutely nothing for him

with how pg has said he doesnt want to play for pacers too, really hurts his trade value

Time isn't anything. He doesn't have a no trade clause and can literally be traded to any team that wants to overpay for his services for a year

That number two pick better not go anywhere. The plus we have is he wants to sign with us long term and cap flexibility where other suitors don't (cavs).

Lakers offered it to the kings for 5 and 10.

So explain to me how it's so safe
