well to be completely fair, he hasn't exactly been stellar for leverkusen this season. he was outstanding 2 years ago, these days he's pretty mediocre to be honest. still doesn't explain this howler...

solid match, particularly liked goretzka's performance. can't overrate it though, let's not forget who we faced. obviously any halfway decent team will destroy these boys - especially if we waste so many opportunities...

leno just making sure he doesnt play another game in this tournament

not too sure about that. i wouldn't be surprised if the original arrangement was for every keeper (leno, ter stegen, trapp) to play one match each. now that leno had such a shaky performance, conceding 2 goals he should realistically have saved, i don't put it beyond löw to give him an extra game to show he trusts him. admittedly all of that is 100% pure speculation on my part, but it would be a typical löw move...

easy win as we played without a goalkeeper
should have been more goals, but lets not get greedy here, the game was alright

Damn, I've always rated Leno highly. I've barely been able to watch the Bundesliga this year, so I had no idea his performances had plummeted. Shame... to me he was a top 10 keeper in the world and easily Germany's second best.
