New highest rune on HC! This means I will be able to use an SOJ over a Raven Frost. But for that I would have to find an SOJ. PS, I have now found 2 Nightwing's, Death cleaver, eth Lacerator, 2 Jahs and a Windforce all before a Tal's armor...



Still playing right now, likely going to be playing an unhealthy amount for a couple weeks now because I am so pumped to complete Tal's set and make the act 1 Rogue merc with WF!

Haha yeah pretty much but I don’t need em for anything else, not going to have a dual dream setup on here. May as well use them for something haha

I need help! Is there anyone who is well versed in act 1 rogue mercenaries? I've never used one before and am wondering if my gear choices could be improved.

Let's assume three things:
-That I'm definitely tied to the WF (only reason I am swapping mercenaries is so that I don't have to throw it away...)
-That any IAS jewels I will have will be plains
-That I will not use any socket quests on merc

Under those assumptions, what would be the best armor/helm combo? Obviously my first thought was Andy's/Forti ... But is there another combo that could beat it?? The Rogue merc doesn't get much/any ed% from skills so I'm thinking Forti seems like the only way to go for armor? Maybe a 2 socket/10% DS crafted helm with IAS jewels would beat Andy's?

Tell me what I should have used the Jahs for

Ice merc would have been cool but I'm using the WF I found. Not interested in dual Dream setup on this char. At least with Cham I gain +1 skill and some mana by being able to ditch Raven for SOJ

I knew I would get some backlash for cubing Jahs haha

Why do you want cbf on a sorc anyway when youre not using melee?

Btw to answer your other question about the merc, heres the ias bps for her with hydra bow base:



So she'll start at the 11ias bp (20 from the WF alone) and then add in whatever other items to see what bp you wanna hit

I know it's all in fun

CBF is nice to have on most sorcs honestly, although not super important for most. For this one I really want it, I do a lot of FRWing during battle, and will do even more now that I won't have a tank merc. I would like to finish with around 60~ FRW and cbf.

/e and thanks for the info, I think I will try to craft a 2 socket/10% DS helm with 2x ias jewels just for the style points. Would put her at 11 fpa and it's something different. I've crafted a few of them before for my LLD characters, but I had access to hundreds of crafting supplies then since it was on bnet :/ I'll use Andy's until I can craft the right helmet!!

Maybe a giant skull with 2x ias jwls. KB can be usefull as you dont have no1 between you and monsters anymore
