how much of an advantage is str bugging?

very fucking little unless you're pushing 120-150 frw with the boots bugged.

slamming w with only boot frw does better than str bugged boots + half an inv of frws. its just less cancer to str bug the boots.

Pretty essential to bug when wsg is banned.

I see, I never had the need to use wsg unless dealing with a pesky trapsin.

Riked - for the purposes of EU (18-49) PvP we dont generally run around with FRW over 100-120, and thus str bugging the boots has a dramatic impact on the matchup, where players are forced to learn to read their opponents movements - or lose. its an additional skill that needs to be acquired. Ideally all frw is bugged.
I will ask Alex to video some of our duels, with and without str bugging, and let you come up with your own conclusions.
The more total frw you have (i.e. over 100-120) the less bugging boots matters (since frw has diminishing returns). The less total frw you have the more bugging boots matters.

With regards to WSG it was always banned on EU. with telestaffs on east, and the love of bowa's, i can see why WSG was allowed but its unfair on several classes.

I see what you’re saying, however through my tenure of dueling at lvl 30 I have yet to see the significance of buggin boots but as you said it’s most likely contingent upon the match-up to be able to see how useful it is. I’ve noticed that Slam (Riox’s Necro) could slip out of fb Telestomps far better than Santas-Revenge (Mikeyjd’s necro) but I thought that was all because of the skill of the player but perhaps it’s the bugging on Slam that makes him more successful in evading telestomps. I couldn’t tell you for certain which had better frw but I know that both of these chars were top-notch necros for their time and can give almost any class a run for their money.

Iirc, Slam is Santas-revenge but with just with a couple of great additions in items, jewels, & charms ofc

its more clear in matches where neither character has teleport, but yes it helps vs telestomp to a degree.
I saw and dueled vs both of those necro's btw. vs mikey (me on mikey's assa) extensively and in 1-2 vs james (me on james bowa).
