she was part of the cast of one of the biggest financial flubs of the year based on the projections, it really did terrible compared to what that brand name should have gotten them in the era of nostalgia. and the new movie is a continuation of the original series that the new director is the son of the old director. it's a continuation of his father's work, afaik. so Jones is way off base. she was part of a shitty stand alone series and is now crying about a followup to the actually successful original version. im sure her ilk will help get the new cast to around 50-50 male to female, and it still wont be enough for Jones. she's done so poorly off of her SNL exposure compared to other cast members that she's likely just mad she wont get a paid gig.
