interesting. blizzard actually updated the installer.
the installer uses patch 1.14.1.68
so my way doesn't work.

Issue with blizz then. Only other way to do it is deemed illegal in the site rules - so I can't help you with that. Sucks my old way doesn't work anymore. Crazy that they updated the installer... lol
Also, if you have d2 installed anywhere else u can just copy the folder to an external drive and put it on the computer you're trying to get it working on.

I could but then you would have all my keys - got ~20 in there lol.
Also, my folder isn't vanilla, it's modified. Is your key 26 digit or 16?
If 26, I could probably help

would need teamviewer though. google it & download.

Download these while on a wired connection....

Run them as admin, As these are the downlaoders.(stay wired here also)
Then proceed to install also as admin.

Now it's time to patch
http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/diablo2exp/patches/PC/LODPatch_114d.exe

Now you should be good.

** If your need 16 digit key support you must get discs then install normally, then apply 1.14 patch above.
or you can register your 16 digit keys online.

easiest route. download vmworkstation. Install Windows Xp Virtual machine. Play d2 like you did back in the year 2001

I only have wireless connection.
I installed and downloaded via digital copy.
I believe I have a 16 digit key but I'm not sure.

Well et n a wired connection cause wireless can be jenky.
if you have 16 digit keys you need the cdkeys or register those keys online with bnet for 26 digit keys.

Can you show me where to do this? I'm pretty sure the digital copies they gave me should be fine as is, no?

Nevermind, mine are 25 or 26 character.
