As always, my char name will contain "beAsty" and random letters to achieve the maximum possible name length. Preferable with the letter "W" as it is the widest letter and annoys the most on that small 800x600 resolution that Diablo 2 has.
This originally came from my PvP time which started during 1.09, mostly to annoy the public PvP games whenever I kill someone. I kept holding onto this tradition and don’t plan to change it any time soon.
How ever, this time I will also name my sorc after my girlfriends nickname. Her real name is "Simone" and in our language this can be converted to the nickname "Simsim" which reminds of a sorceress.
So this time it is beAsty+SimSim+yy_ for maximum name length :)

I am back at Diablo 2 because I am bored and thought it would be nice to play this game again and get a challenge out of it.



So here is what I am going to do:
- Lightning + Zealer Hybrid
- Always at /players 8
- Hardcore mode
- Ladder rundewords enabled
- No mods/cheats/hacks, only what is needed for UT + DC + extended Stash because TCP/IP mules are lame
- Enjoying the awesome nostalgic Diablo 2 soundtrack !
- Don't let SimSim die lol !

Goals:
- Kill Baal in Hell
- Clear UT
- Destroy DC

Why this build/char?
For magicfinding I always used a sorc; and that was a lightning sorc. I even had a few good guides and setups and also know that a punch of people used my build/setup for maximum mf speed.
So making a lightning sorc brings back a lot of memories. Still I wanted something new, and so did most d2jsp users when I made a poll about "Which WT Character next?".
The most votes in that poll went for "Zeal Sorc". And as I love the idea of a zeal sorc, I thought this would be a perfect mix.. and so a Lightning + Zeal Hybrid Sorc was born.

I will probably begin with focus on lightning and once I get to NM / get the runes for Passion I will start with pushing enchanting. This should make me strong enough for double immunes just in time :)

I just did the first quest and wow I never encountered such a hard monster placement in that cave. They gave me a rly hard time and made me realize that I have to be careful with her until I get max block + decent gear.

Thanks ! I will try to keep it exciting ;-)

Doesn't look too special on that screenshot but wow there were many monsters.
I even thought I wouldn't be able to do it.



Still did it in the end ofcourse :)



Time for bloodraven.. static is helping a lot but she can kill me with just three arrows.

I made a mistake by putting points into stuff like "Telekinese, Warmth and Fireball". Those are needed but not yet and there for are not as important right now as pushing "Charging Bolt".
So now my dmg wasn't really good but once bloodraven was directly infront of me, CB would crush her !

Warmth because 1pt is useful. Fireball because I will need it for "Enchant" which I will use as Zealer and for my merc.



Static helps a lot with bosses. Telekinese is needed for getting teleport later.



1pt in Frozen Armor because it increases def + freezes melee monsters. Very helpfull and my favourite kind of "Magic Armor".



As you can see, I placed a few points already that I won't need right now but later at lvl 18 or so. From now on the next points will all go into CB for higher killing speeds.
