Could you imagine the coronavirus hitting Canada hard? Like you said our hospital situation would get crazy and people will be dying from other non related coronavirus reasons. It will take days in the ER before getting treated for non life threatening visits!

i watched a video and the guy said the live corona virus is a stage 3 containment and their hospital was a stage 4 containment facility and that it wasnt the only one
it sounds like we got a couple of hospitals that are equipped for this type of thing but if it mass spreads over a few days and those are full shit might get rough

Real question is, who actually goes home and takes time off when they’re sick? I’d say the majority don’t or just simply can’t. If coronavirus hits hard here it’s going to be bad.

This is true. Most jobs don't have sick days, or not enough to cover you missing that long of a time.

If I don't get paid I show up to work unless I don't even have the strength to stand and get out the door. I would rather be extremely sick getting paid vs staying at home not making any money.

Most people live paycheque to paycheque so they are not staying home like you said.

Thankfully I have a fairly generous sick leave policy/health benefits so if I did get hit with something like that I would be able to stay at home without going into debt.

Even missing one day of work for some without pay is going to cause problems.
