happy how easy it was to register and vote. apparently I forgot to update my information with Elections Canada and they sent my registration card to my old place in the mainland. then my driver's license was outdated because I had just moved to a new neighborhood. np, just showed the desk photo ID and my new bills and I was good to go. was in and out of the polling station within 15 minutes.

looking good for the conservatives so far, taking away 1/3 of Atlantic seats would go a long way towards securing at least a minority. if last minute polling reflects reality the Liberals will also have a significant net loss in BC and QC.

Scheer’s time is done, thank god. All this talk about Peter McKay taking over the leadership before the election’s even over has to be demoralizing for the American.

Wouldn't call him done at all if he gets a minority. Depending on who/how many parties hold the balance he could well stay alive as leader like Harper did.

but yes McKay would be a big upgrade regardless, I still can't get over either the fact Scheer didn't renounce his American citizenship way ahead of time or that he lied about being an insurance salesman. like, why lmao

He never had a chance to be PM. If he got the most seats the coalition with NDP would have killed that right away. CBC predicting Libs now anyway.
