Why would I? That's not why I get paid. We are paying them to do that, and giving them the societal status as "heros". If they can't handle that without abusing their power they can find another job. If we have trouble attracting candidates we will increase pay. Nobody is forcing them to be there.

What we should not do is give them carte blanche to abuse the public because they chose that position.
