I wanna change the language to english. I heard about changing d2data.mpq file but i cant find an english one over the internet. Any suggestion?

I found this guide over google but with broken links so i edited it a bit:

Create a data\local folder in your Diablo II directory. If your game is installed in "c:\Games\Diablo 2", you should have "c:\Games\Diablo 2\data\local"

You need to download a file called "diablofrtous.zip" and unzip it.
You also need a file: d2xtalk.mpq in english (Ask a friend that has the game in english to email it to you)

Then copy the "use" file into "c:\Games\Diablo 2\data\local".
Replace (after backing up the original) your d2xtalk.mpq by the one you have downloaded and renamed it.

Finally, add the command -direct to Diablo II shortcut (e.g. "C:\Games\Diablo 2\Diablo II.exe" -direct) and launch the game.

All the game will now be in English.

Mmm thanks for answer but i thought there was an easier way. Nvm ill survive with no english language. I see this is too much complicated to me.

That way isn't complicated at all.

well i dont have any friend with that english file but i would be pleased if you could get it for me

diablofrtous is french im spanish and i dont know anything about that file and french explanations or where i can download it and if its true that works because iim watching that file is very old

you could also just download the english version of the client/s from Blizzard's official site and reinstall with those, provided you have an account there~

i can not download d2 from blizzard´s site anymore. It doesnt appear on classic games
