Trump really is the cherry on top of the sundae of Republican hypocrisy. It's going to be hilarious watching all the cowardly Christian pastors and Republicans in general calling for moral behavior and decency from the next president.

Yeah, you're probably right. Every lame ass accusation or lower court ruling by the left is being tossed aside. But as long as you can keep telling yourself that Trump is.... losing, you can... feel good?

The average forum user is nowhere near the hyper-religious conservative that IceMage would be referring to. Widow was quite the rarity.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of these forum regulars don't even vote

I won't be surprised at all, if we see a rehash of all the posts for the last two years in... 2020.

Initially edited it in my first response to icemage but ill just post it so you can see it.

A Christian recognizes that we live in a fallen world and no politician represents Gods Will perfectly here. It's about choosing the lesser of two evils. I, as a Christian, can overlook Trump using crude language, or him sleeping around on his wife because its still a better choice than a party that endorses killing babies, that views Christianity as a tool of the patriarchy to be destroyed, that is the polar opposite of social conservative values that align with Christian theology. It doesn't mean I support those sins what it does mean that a single man's sins are much less important to a nation from a Christian perspective than the fact that the alternative is magnitudes worse.

I think you missed the point of my post. I'm calling out hypocrisy, and double standards.

I didn't. Look at the above response. You see it as hypocrisy, in reality, it's choosing the lesser of two evils.

You do recognize the vast difference between these two responses?

The first is an example of bullshit rationalizations we hear on Fox News from dishonest hypocrites, the second is an honest assessment of a pragmatic political choice.
