Is the Pocket Edition difficult to play on your phone? Does it require a lot of getting used to?

No, I think it's very user friendly.
I believe PE is just like a very old version of Minecraft for computers. They are still writing programs for it. For example there is a saddle in PE but there is no ride function for pigs and whatnot, so the saddle is useless.

If you come from Minecraft from the computer you might not like the drastic reduction in capabilities. But for me, a newcomer, it's pretty fun.
