for the weapon, what should i be aiming for?

is +12 magic sealed better than +10 epic? it has like more than double the piercing magic attack....

and how much magic crit should i go for, or should i get magic crit on everything over int? ofc both is better but if you had to choose one which one is better for damage?

imo i think int is very easy to obtain but increasing magical crit only comes from certain gear. Not to mention the buffs towards intelligence are relatively low towards your overall pool versus magic crit.
250 points of intelligence = 100% relative damage increase (can see this as additive). And crit will always multiply your total damage by a factor of 1.5 aka 50% total damage(can see this as multiplicative)
Say if you put int on 5 of your armor pieces (lets use 25 int per piece) you get about 125 int. Which is a total of about 50% relative damage increase whereas you could hold 4% crit per piece (5 max) of somewhere having a crit chance boost 24-25%.
If we're breaking down numbers it all matters about the level and current stats of your character. Crit would be weaker than int if you raise it pre lvl 65. After that crit is stronger. But you should never have to choose!

im at max level atm

sry i guess i was unclear. i am actually looking to max end game stats but i do see what you mean. judging by your post it seems more worthwhile to get magic crit over int if i had to choose?

uhm for max end game stats, you wont have to choose int or crit. OV gear is basically all the same but they all vary in specific skill upgrades, for example:
OV2 heavy armor shoulder is the same hard stats as all other OV2 heavy armor shoulder for every class. The only difference is whether it comes with -5% cooldown reduction/+5% aoe/+5% damage to X skill. (where X skill can vary between multiple skills so it takes awhile to find the right one)
i believe the values are from 3%-8% or somewhere along those lines.
For current end game, i wouldnt really bother with it cuz in about one week we get OV so no worries.
You will be using purple gear as temporary. It's either going to be OV gear, legendary gear, or epic gear. within that mix for end game.

do i need a certain level of gear to be able to do OV? idk how hard that dungeon is...

just imagine it as a phone lock, where you have to punch in the codes at the correct order and if you dont, you get locked out for a few minutes. It's easy if you know it and remember it, it's hard if you dont know how to do it cuz alot of one shotting rooms/skills. Gear level starts at 75.

i've already been there lol. took me a couple tries to figure it out for time break (all the youtube videos were 2nd awakening ele's)

not sure if there's any videos for OV that i can learn from

also how much exorcism do i need?

also what is that APC?

and i don't really get what the gimmicks are. what is a defensive stance

i guess i'll figure it out when the time comes
