My Japanese brother (not blood, we just call him that) just came to visit my family for 9 days. He brought a bunch of bomb ass Japanese candy and he's just a funny fucking guy anyways. Was good getting to hang with him and meet his son.

Most of my generation does not have the accent, as we were born and grew up here, but our parents have it a little bit since most of them were born in Vietnam but my grandpa/grandma speak minimal english and have a strong accent. It really depends on how much the accent is if the kid was taught an east asian language as a young child, that is what gives people that "Asian accent" it's going away... but some still have it, and the older they are the more likely they are to have it.
