Well, the one in post #11960 didn't work out. The original city had too many roads (before I erased it). Somehow, even with everything erased... the game remembers I had too many roads.
Long story short....I found a better solution. Made a new tiny city, and nefariously increased the population dramatically...so it makes money... really fast...

Green = residential (that church builds itself)
Yellow = industrial
Purple = commercial

striped purple = seaport

little plum things = water pumps

Buildings...


Blue = police
Red = fire
Turquoise = hospital
Tan/black = college
Tan = school


...and the 2 weird things are solar power plants.

Magic Eraser

With the magic eraser, you are able to erase structures. But when you query on the blank tile, it still shows the structure! This is perfect for arcologies, because you can build over them, and the population remains! This is how you do it:<p>

Select the "Tree/Water" icon on the toolbar, and choose trees.
Click and hold the mouse button over the part of the structure you want to erase.
Without releasing the mouse button, press and hold Shift
Without releasing the mouse button or the SHIFT key, drag the mouse over anything you wish to erase. The buildings will vanish, but the population will remain intact.






/ee The ONLY problem with this is that you can't let it just RUN by itself. The population stays the same but there are now no roads, electric, water etc. If you let it run too long blank like this...it'll end up in your being fired as Mayor... aka, game over. So once you take it off pause...you have to start building, and you have to build it properly...or same result....you get fired as Mayor...and game over.


/eee As you may have noticed... I renamed Pittsburgh to AAA Pittsburgh, so it's easy to find at the top of the list of cities.

/e It also has some pretty good "Scenarios". This, for example is the 1991 fire in the Oakland Hills across the bay fro San Fran... this is real. I was there, rebuilding some of the 2800 house that burnt down.
Btw, aside from the crude grfx, this is exactly what the Oakland Hills looked like...

And since it was a renewed phone, I also ordered Sprint's $15/month phone insurance which covers.... everything, forever. Oh, and no contract.



/e I'm a bit psyched. This will be my first smart phone ever.


/ee Sprint was pretty cool. They waived the activation fee too. Btw, the phone cost $244. Which turned out to be about $100+ cheaper than any of Amazon's renewed phones.
