What did it feel like, how did you know it was a heart attack?
Both arms, really hurt. They fel... hollow, deprived, and no matter what I did, it wouldn't go away. I tried laying down, different positions etc. Also at the beginning, I was raining sweat. I have a pretty thick bathrobe and it just soaked it.
My arms though, felt so bad, it was like I wanted to tear them off or something..
The paramedics said I probably had about 20-30 more minutes to live, if I hadn't called them.
That was Thursday about 9:30am to noon. After a day and a half in the hospital and what they called a Cath Cast (general term), or Radial Cardiac Catheterization (specific term) (which was where they went up my right arm and then into my heart), including so many IVs, tests, scans, needles, wires etc. I feel pretty good right now.
Weird part, I was awake during all this... they gave me Fentanyl. I could answer questions, see some of what was going on, but I couldn't really see any of the doctors, although I could feel them doing things. There were a bunch of xray and video machines, all around my head and chest.
The BLUE line going up my right arm, then down to the outside, right side of the heart, is the procedure I had done.
