the anime really doesn't do a good job of capturing this manga's unique aesthetic.

Actually a bullnose is NOT a bevel. Bevels are straight edges at an angle. Both can be made with router bits ofc, but only a bevel can be ALSO made with a table saw or the like.

the adaptation of the second installment is coming soon, this vid is from the fourth, so.. we've got got to get through quite a lot to reach it. Hopefully by the time it gets to that there will be better animators and more money.

itagaki is a truly special artist though, it will never have quite the same feel to it unless he personally works alongside the animators but that's obviously not happening

it's hit or miss with the style, some people love it some people hate it. Never seen anyone who had no strong feelings about it one way or the other.
