Fight Club cut out one of the better scenes from the book though. When they take the fat from her mom. Otherwise, the movie is def a bit better. American Psycho as a movie was pretty close to perfect for me. I agree they cut out a lot of stuff. But, the movie flows so well with how the story is meant to be told, it's really hard to say it wasn't done as good as possible. The book is much more detailed and explicit. Sometimes, it can be a little over the top. I did miss the few mentions and scenes with his brother though. Rules of Attraction was a better book imo. Psycho the better movie.

The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho

had to read this book in 11th grade and since then no book has ever came close to the story it tells.
may be a short read, but it is the longest and most lasting story i've ever read.
