I thought the caps were going to do this with orpik but the league denied it so they ended up trading him to the avs , who bought him out, then they resigned him.

Doesn't apply to regular by outs as the flames did with Stone. Plus nhl said they'd allow it as its a result of an injury (Valimaki) and deemed flames weren't trying to circumvent the cap.

Wew that was a sloppy start. Rittich looked good. Kylington looked pretty awful unfortunately. Lucic fought, but I have no idea why he was on the ice hogging the puck when we’re down with 1 min to go.
