Thanks for the condolences for my uncle and being respectful, it is appreciated, so do NOT take what I am going to say negatively. He lived a great life, maybe not one that society would deem appropriate with the law or the ethics that many of us would condone as being right/true, he lived his life on the edge and survived it with his own precedence of his ethics / beliefs while also enjoying life while he was alive. And true to his nature, everyone dies, and when that time comes, don't mourn about my death, embrace the life I lived during the life spent in your time.

Anyway, as you can tell, I am intoxicated, and posting (not a great combination for me on JSP)... while playing my Bufcore toon "iZZi".
So... I was going to make a thread for Ladder Slasher, but I thought I would just post a test here in our guild of friendly play as we do when we want members that have played the game on and off for like 15 years.

How would you play Ladder Slasher Today with the knowledge you have from the past or present if this game was NEW (v1.31 = v1.00) with starting characters?
Okay... so you can create 8 Softcore characters and 8 Hardcore characters etc... basically all the updates are regarded as v1.00 and you are a newb BUT all the current game mechanics you know of with this game, "How would you play the game?"
You all start with starter items when you create your character (first character / main character) and know what goal you want to reach.
How would you organise (organize) your group?
What would your initial goal(s) be?
Would you solo, or organise (organize) people for a group run all starting with Tier I starter gear?
Would you explore?
Would you Whistle?
Would you run Maps?
Would you have a Guardian in your group and 4 Mages?
How would you organise (organize) or plan it from Day 1 with starter items?

Okay, those are some (SOME) of the questions, now you have to work it out for yourself. So I will start.
SOLO: I will still start off with a Guardian even with the restrictions to the items because the abilities make up for the short-comings.
GROUP: 3 Mages / Guardian (myself) & a Rogue (even if the event had "NO TRAPDOORS")
... Group rules are simple: Each mage chooses 1 element (from dropped items), this means no other member will pick up that charm (yup, Datis rules to group play) ... Guardian is simple = Heavy Weapons (sounds unfair, but then think about it, they can only use a club) ... Rogue = Scales / Daggers (lucky them)
Above is only a fraction of what I would do, now there are many others that may do something similar, or totally different, so post what you think you would do in that scenario.
