Dubas is meeting with Nylander and his team in Switzerland

Apparently the canes are really interest in nylander, and one of the pieces for trade is pesce

so Nylander has to be signed by December 1st, just over a month away

Leafs have absolute shit D anyway so paying these forwards and leaving no cap room for upgrades on D would be a mistake

May as well use 1 as a trade chip, and no better option than the guy who won't sign

D is playing pretty well, but they do need a #1 D

what you guys think nylander would fetch?
he seems to want too much money and the leafs couldnt work out a deal seems like a risky player to trade for
and you only got 20 days to work out a deal+get him under contract if you want him on the roster for the rest of the season

Yeah it's definitely a risky trade I think that will drop his value, I'm assuming Leafs already have their parade planned again and won't want picks
