everyones freaking out cuz d3 is terrible...i have only played till the end of act 1 mind you but regardless

d2 was all about grinding and finding the best gear and selling it

how is d3 any different? and how does the auction house ruin the game if gear and trading is the main part of the game

With bot's, gold and the auction house become useless. Thus, the whole concept of grinding and selling good items (the main part of the game) becomes useless.



It was the same in Diablo 2.
Except in Diablo 3 it happened day one. So, there was no golden age for D3 where the economy actually made sense.

There is no great equalizer. There are no ladders, no resets, no real duels, the auction house took power from the many and gave it to the extremely dedicated and the botters. With d2 you could grind your way to the top without anyone's help. Now you absolutely must grind gold and hope luck turns your way so you can afford one piece of gear so you can grind some more for the next piece just to progress very little. The game is unnecessarily short and hard for the sake of being hard with no diminishing returns. Now that the top players have power they have the complete edge and there is nothing to stop them. Diablo is no longer a game you can just pick up and play and feel powerful or like you're getting anywhere. It is a failure
