But due to the self-proclaimed "feminist DNA" of the party, they officially have a rule called "women's statute" which basically says that whenever a female and a male candidate are vying for the same nomination, the female candidate automatically gets the right of first access. This election was there for the taking, but they self-sabotaged by chosing a chick which can be best described as "a blend between Jen Psaki and Hillary Clinton's intern" as their standard bearer. Consequently, they've slipped to third place in the polls.

Funnily enough, covid really screwed the Greens. With all the momentum the climate movement had built in 2019, can you imagine where they would be now if we had talked about nothing but climate change throughout 2020 and 2021 as well?
