summa cum laude, magna cum laude, cum laude, rite.
almost no one graduates with rite, summa is also somewhat rare in most universities. magna typically is the most common grade, followed by regular cum laude.
but to be fair, the distribution might be different in American undergrad programs.
Wut?
Cum laude is pretty rare over here, didn't know the distinctions with Germany were already so big. In my major (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) I think around 8% got their BSc cum laude (summa/magna aren't really used here), and probably less than 5% got their Master's cum laude. To get just cum laude you need an average over all your courses that's higher than 8/10, and your graduation project needs 9/10 or higher. I know of some studies where maybe up to 20% graduated cum laude, but you will still be way above average if you do.
