So the previous owner wired this thing for fog lights, it has all the electrical in place and a switch, but no fog lights

pretty sure they just mounted some using the tow hook bolt holes, well, i replaced the tow hooks and the lower valance, so i preferable need something that can mount underneath the valance, or with some modification, cut some holes and mount them in the valance itself

its a 1996 suburban with stock valance, no fog light holes in it yet

recomendations would be appreciated

not much to recommend, fabricate some sort of bracket that will fit your application and make it work with the holes you need to cut.

1:find the best location for that bracket to be(considering the wire length for your fogs)
2:fabricate said bracket
3:cut out/drill holes
4:buy/install those fogs (might wanna have these before you cut just any hole and have a shit fitment ;) )
5:?????
6:profit!

i need some input on what would be a good set of lights to get in any sense, i dont have any equipment to fabricate brackets unfortunately, so what ever i can buy premade is gonna have to do, wire length is not an issue, i have plenty of solder, wire, and heatshrink available...

go shopping at places where they sell car components, chances are they have fog lights on the shelfs, some might actually have mounting equipment included in the packages.

anything embedded would look best imo, you could go at a scrap yard and take a look at fog light they have on some vehicles and maybe salvage some or they're brackets to accommodate your application.
that would at least give you inspiration

if i could find a set of round ones with the rear mounts like that one it would probably work best....easiest to cut a uniform hole with a hole saw and whatnot, problem is im not finding any with those style mounting brackets unless they are like some sort of OE replacement for $50 each....

i used a beer can to mount my tach inside my dash kit i have yet to install, maybe something similar can be done with some other round fog light ( think bigger cans for bigger light tough: cofe, bean, w/e)

thats the dash, nestled inside the wheelbase, fog lights will be dangling precariously off the bumper/valance and subject to a lot more shock, not to mention weighing more

just need something with a bracket i can bolt on to the valance, drill a few round holes with my hole saw and be done with it, but its hard as shit finding anything with mounting brackets like that

These you posted have the type of bracket i would be looking for, but im definitely not paying $40-50 per light on some branded OEM shit made for a certain model of car >_>
