Time for Messi at the Emirates IMO.

Is this the first time that a football player has a 'leaving team' press conference before he signs elsewhere?

Some shit crocodile tears from Messi there imo. "Impossible to stay", not really eh. Dude is sat on hundreds of millions in the bank, still makes ridiculous money from private sponsors and image rights, really has no need at all to take any wages from barca if he loved them so much.

100 percent agree. When it comes to the hgh troll, nothing matters but money. He has to fault a little bit of blame for barca financial troubles. High wages and complaining about signings. They made signings, just not the right ones for the right price and now it all came crashing down. It's about time a football team that spends foolishly has it come back to bite them.

No. Even though it's not very common, it has happened a bunch of times before.

Even without Messi, Barcelona’s annual wages account for 95 per cent of their income which exceeds the 70% limit imposed by La Liga.

Messi is now a free agent so reregistering him as a player on zero wages wouldn't be allowed by La Liga as Barca can't register new players until the wage cap is met. As wages (excluding Messi's) are 95% of the club's revenue and it has to be 70%, they couldn't even give Messi a contract on zero wages

What does that have to do with anything? They have to lower their wage bill to the limit with or without Messi.
